SITEFORUM polls enable you to add and manage an unlimited amount of polls in your portal. Polls can be addressed to all users or to specific user groups.
1. Overview
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls.
As far as polls exist already you get to the following table:

2. Add
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls.
- Click the tab Add.
- Enter in the field Name a name for the new poll.
- Enter in the field Question the text/question of the poll.
- Enter in the fields 1.-5. Choice/Answer the choices/answers the user is supposed to click.
Note: You can create an unlimited number of choices. Click the button More Choices to add additional choices.
- Choose in the area Selection if only one single answer (Allow just a single answer) or several answers (Allow multiple answers) can be chosen by the user.
- Enable the checkbox Status to set the status as "activate".
- Enable the checkbox Homepage to publish the poll directly on the front page.
Note: Only one poll can appear on the front page.
- Activate the checkbox Expiry Date when the poll will be closed manually. Disable the checkbox to define a specified date as an expiry date.
- Activate the option Results if users will be allowed to see poll results at all times.
- Choose in the area User Group the user group(s) which is/are allowed to participate in the poll.
- Choose the selection box Language the language of the poll.
- If required choose the selection box Category a cateogry.
- Click the button Save when ready.

3. Edit poll
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls.
- In the overview choose the poll you want to edit.
- Click the icon Edit.
- Do the desired changes, q.v. 2. Add.
- Click the button Save when ready.

4. Vote
Note: With this function as a "Portal Master" or "Polling Manager" you can preview the poll to check if it was created correctly and you can test it.
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls.
- Choose in the overview the poll you want to vote for.
- Click the icon Vote.
- Vote for the poll and go back in your browser window.

5. Translate
You can translate polls to the languages you provide in your portal.
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls.
- In the overview choose the poll you want to translate.
- Click the icon Translate.
- Choose the language in which you want to translate the poll.
- Click the button Add Translation.
- Translate all desired fields in the corresponding language.
- Activate the option Status to activate the translation.
- Click the button Save when ready.
- If required repeat this procedure to add further translations.
Edit Translation
- In the overview choose the poll whose translation you want to edit.
- Click the icon Translate.
- Choose the language you want to edit.
- Click the icon Edit.
- Do the desired changes, q.v. 5 Transalte.
- Click the button Save when ready.
Delete Translation
- In the overview choose the poll whose translation you want to delete.
- Click the icon Translate.
- Choose the language you want to delete.
- Click the icon Delete.
- Confirm the erasing procedure by clicking the button OK.

6. Export to CSV
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls.
- In the overview choose the poll, which results you want to export.
- Click the icon CSV.
Note: If you select Save answers under Marketing & CRM > Polls > Settings > Privacy, then user choices will also be exported to the same CSV file

7. Delete
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls.
- Choose in the overview the poll you want to delete.
- Click the icon Delete.
- Confirm the erasing procedure by clicking the button OK.

8. Settings
- Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
- Then click Marketing & CRM > Polls > Settings.
- Check the option Save under Privacy > Answers, if you want user choices to be stored.
Note: If this option is selected, you can export user choices to a CSV file. See
Export to CSV for details.
